DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2017

Happy New Year everybody! I can't believe it is 2018, the last year went so quickly! After having a break off around Christmas I am back and ready to start blogging again. Before I get into my plans for the year I thought I would share what I got for Christmas this year! Like everyone, I'm not bragging - I am very grateful for everything of course!! I've always enjoyed seeing the gifts people have received so here are a few of the things I got!

One of my main presents and something I was really looking forward to opening is my new graphic tablet. I love getting creative and have been interested in developing my digital art skills for a while so this was the perfect gift for me. I got the Chuwi 12" tablet which is such a great size and runs on Windows or Android, the stylus has great pen pressure recognition and I've found it so easy to draw with. Maybe in the future, I'll share some of my work, once I've experimented with it more!

Something else I received was a new blender - something I'll mostly use for smoothies but it can also be used for protein shakes, milkshakes, and other drinks. There are tonnes of different blenders out there but I asked for the Breville Active Blender as it had really great reviews. Although I've only used it once so far, I'm pretty impressed as its easy to use and the 300/600ml bottles are so convenient if you want to make your drink portable!

My boyfriend totally spoilt me this year and as well as getting me the tablet he also bought me a gorgeous necklace from Pandora. I own two Pandora rings and love them so I was so pleased when I opened this! Jewellery is always a special gift and I love the simple design on this, it is perfect for special occasions or you could definitely wear it day to day as it is so subtle!

From a few relatives I received money as I'm currently saving up to hopefully travel at some point so money is greatly appreciated! I'm just over 1/3 of the way towards my goal amount now which is great news!

Lush products are always a great gift idea and as I hadn't used any for a while I asked for some this year. Bath bombs are my favourite because they always make for a perfect, relaxing bath and are so fun to watch all the different colours! I received the Intergalactic one - a favourite of mine as it is fascinating to watch, as well as the Christmas Sweater one, I absolutely loved the design of this and the scent screamed Christmas so it was the perfect option! I haven't used them yet because they just look so pretty!

Usually, I ask for various clothing items for Christmas, this year I got a denim jacket from my Grandparents as I've been wanting one for a while! It's something that is often a staple in people's wardrobes but I haven't ever bought one for myself! I also got some new Christmassy pyjamas and a grey dressing gown - both of which I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing whilst the weather has been colder!

As my contract ended on my phone I was also lucky enough to get a new iPhone 7 from my parents, I had this early though as the contract ended at the start of December so I have been using it for a while now! I'm so used to iPhones now, do you guys prefer Apple or Android?

Most years my sisters and I also get a joint present, often a board game as we always like to play something new over the Christmas period! This year we got the 221B Baker Street game, something I've been wanting for a while as I love Sherlock and had heard great things! It's pretty complicated to begin with but hey maybe after a few games I'll be a pro detective!

Now I'm not going to go through everything in great detail but some other things I received include an eye shadow palette, the Millie Mackintosh 'Deeply in Lustre' bronze and glow gift set, some new grey Converse, watercolour brush pens and paints, the Zoella 'All For You' mini perfume set, a quiz book, room diffuser, nail polish and some other bits and bobs like socks and chocolate - not to be undermined because they are just as loved!

I'm so grateful for all my wonderful presents and I had such a great Christmas! Hopefully all of you did too and you're ready for a fresh year now!

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! MID-YEAR GOALS

Since we're halfway through the year I thought I'd do some reflecting and wanted to refocus on some goals to work towards for the rest of 2018. I like having something to work towards whether it's more short-term or something that I'd like to improve over time. I've tried to include a range of things so I can target different aspects of my life! Blogging Goals Hit 2000 followers on Twitter - I just hit 1.5k so 2000 is my next goal! I'm really pleased with how my Twitter following is growing as it's my favourite social media and way to connect! Hit 500 followers on Instagram - My blog account is pretty new & I'm still learning to use it for blogging but I hope to reach at least 500 followers. Work with more companies - It's so rewarding when brands contact and want to work with you so I'd love to work with more companies, I've not had much experience of it but have done a couple of reviews!
