DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

APRIL MONTHLY FAVOURITES

I honestly can't believe it is May already! It does not feel like it has been a year since my starting the exam season for my A Levels, good luck to everyone starting any exams by the way! Anyway, April went by pretty quickly and the weather was all over the place, however like always there were definitely some things I enjoyed through the month!

Spring Photography - The weather has certainly been all over the place however we had some really lovely days at the end of April and I managed to get out and about to enjoy it! I love taking photos and my hometown has some gorgeous spots so I couldn't resist going on an evening walk, I really hope I can build up a nice collection of photos in the coming months!

Fashion - Anyone that knows me will tell you that I have a large collection of striped tops in my wardrobe. At this time of the year when the weather is a bit warmer, a striped t-shirt is a staple for me, they're so simple but can add a bit of interest to a plain outfit and pretty timeless as they're often fashion! Even though I have plenty, I'm always drawn to tops with stripes - there are still colours I don't have!

App - I've talked about BuzzFeed a few times on my blog but haven't ever put it in my favourites and since it's one of my most used Apps I thought I had to! Personally, my favourite thing to do on there are the quizzes, they're so random but are a bit of fun! I also enjoy the recipes, life tips and just random videos or posts about trending topics they have on there but there are tonnes of other sections too! If you're looking for an app that will help to pass some time (okay maybe hours) then the BuzzFeed app is your new best friend.

Movie - Admittedly this is only very recent but hey it was in April so I had to include it! I went to the cinema to see Avengers: Infinity War with my boyfriend and one of his friends on the day it came out and like a lot of people I was left with a lot of questions! It was a brilliant film, I do enjoy a good action movie and I have to say that most of my favourite superheroes are part of the MCU so I always enjoy seeing them together. Thanos is an excellent villain and I really enjoyed the whole plot of the movie with the infinity stones, I'm fascinated by the Time stone and was so glad that Doctor Strange was a part of it! There is definitely a good mix of comedy, action and some darker bits, including the confusing but intriguing ending but overall I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the sequel!

Food - As it was Easter during April I enjoyed a lot of chocolate through the month, one of my favourites around that time of the year is the classic Creme Egg. I always look forward to seeing them back on the shelves and despite them getting smaller and smaller, they're still a firm favourite of mine! I've actually done really well and still have some Easter Eggs left, how I don't know but I'm glad I currently have a constant supply of chocolate when I need it! I've also been obsessed with having 'chips and dip' or more specifically Doritos and salsa. Now this isn't a new obsession for me, however, the 'hint of lime' Doritos are! I'd had them a few times before but I love the extra flavour and slight tang that it gives, along with the salsa. I love making nachos but sometimes I can't be bothered so this is a perfect snack - and yes I'd already eaten the ones in the picture as I couldn't resist!

Beauty - I am a huge fan of Rimmel foundations and over the last month, I've been using the Lasting Finish Breathable one which I hadn't tried before! I was fairly certain I'd like it since I enjoy using most of Rimmel's foundations however I definitely think this has a more silky texture and finish! It's a medium coverage but applies really well so is buildable if you wanted a higher coverage. The applicator is very different from the other Rimmel foundations, instead of a pump, it has a small sponge brush which makes applying really easy! For me, it's definitely something I'll be reaching for in the warmer months because it feels so light on the skin, though I do think it would work all year round as it isn't too drying! If you're looking for an affordable, high street foundation then I'd definitely recommend this!

Let me know what you've been enjoying in the comments below!

Your scenic photos of the bluebells and rolling hills are absolutely gorgeous! A striped T-shirt is a staple in my wardrobe as well, I enjoy trying to dress them up a bit with a skirt and boots as well as dressing them down! I haven't had the chance to see Infinity War yet but it is on my to-do list the May! Wishing you all the best for the coming month!

What I enjoyed most was the kingsday in holland. We celebrate our kings bday pretty big and festival style. Which is really cool. And ofcourse the anticipation of my birthday coming up. I had a lovely april too.

  12. April did go by so quickly! I still am in shock that it's actually over! I also love striped tops - you are right, they are so classic and timeless. And they look good with so many different outfits too! Infinity War was really good, but so many questions! Why did so many have to die?!?! The after-credits clip didn't help me with my questions at all.

I really liked Infinity War. Marvel did a great job of telling the story. Glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like you had a great month! Hope May will be great.

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. 1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -

MID-YEAR GOALS

Since we're halfway through the year I thought I'd do some reflecting and wanted to refocus on some goals to work towards for the rest of 2018. I like having something to work towards whether it's more short-term or something that I'd like to improve over time. I've tried to include a range of things so I can target different aspects of my life! Blogging Goals Hit 2000 followers on Twitter - I just hit 1.5k so 2000 is my next goal! I'm really pleased with how my Twitter following is growing as it's my favourite social media and way to connect! Hit 500 followers on Instagram - My blog account is pretty new & I'm still learning to use it for blogging but I hope to reach at least 500 followers. Work with more companies - It's so rewarding when brands contact and want to work with you so I'd love to work with more companies, I've not had much experience of it but have done a couple of reviews!
