DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

MAKING A RETURN TO BLOGGING

So, it’s safe to say that it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here! The last time I posted I hadn’t even started university and now I’m sitting here, a few weeks into my Second Year.  I moved to Brighton last September and I love it. It was a place I was drawn to for years, so there wasn’t much deliberation once I knew there was a course I liked and so began my journey as a Media Studies student.  I’ve met so many new people in the past year and a bit and it’s probably been the busiest I’ve ever been. There are always things on in Brighton and I’ve definitely made the most of what it offers! Brighton has a crazy amount of pubs and whilst I can’t say I’ve visited them all I’ve definitely found some favourites and look forward to trying our new ones over this next academic year. Just recently my housemates and I went to a pub quiz at one of our local pubs which were great fun! Some of the other things I’ve got up to in the last year include karaoke, mini golf, an escape room, a comedy

SUN, SEA AND SCENERY

Although the heat can get a little exhausting, I’ve been trying to make the most of it by spending time outside. After a pretty dull and rainy June, I was really looking forward to summer days and we’ve definitely had our fair share of sun this past week!  Earlier in the week my sister and I visited my Grandparents and spent time with them for a bit which is always nice. My Nan is one of those typical Grandparents that always has snacks to offer and the ice creams she gave us were definitely appreciated in the heat!  A few days later we went for an early evening stroll and found ourselves exploring down various footpaths. Most of them led to a lot of trees and overgrown greenery but after following one path for a bit we found such an amazing view. This spot would be absolutely perfect for a picnic as long you don’t mind walking through a lot of long grass, the scenery is definitely worth it though! We also stopped at Costa and I tried the new Golden Caramel Iced Latte - would definitel

PHOTO DUMP

I've been seeing people post 'photo dumps' on Instagram a lot recently and since I take a lot of photos, I thought why not share some of them on here! Also, this means I can write a bit more about them as well, I don't think anyone wants to read a blog post as an Instagram caption! Sunsets are one of my favourite things to see and also photograph. I've found that my iPhone often can't quite capture the colours so recently I took out my camera whilst on an evening walk. All of these photos were taken on the same day and from a few different points along a field near my house! The sky was pretty cloudy but I really think it added to the photos, it was definitely a moodier sunset in comparison to the lighter pink hues below. Although I'm writing this on a very grey and rainy day, we have had some sunny days and I made the most of them by getting outside and going for walks. What's not shown in the photos above is the state of my shoes after I found myself w

I'VE MISSED BLOGGING

To say 2020 has been a weird year would be an understatement, in fact, it's been pretty crappy and much worse for many people. I feel lucky to have been able to live with some normality when the world is so chaotic. However, the year seems to have gone ridiculously fast and this blog took a backseat. I definitely had writer's block too and didn't want to blog for the sake of it, however, after being away for a while I've missed it a lot! I enjoyed the social side of blogging as well as sharing bits of my life so am looking forward to getting back into it. I’ve still been posting regularly on my Creative Arts blog as part of my studying which definitely took up a lot of time! It's been a really interesting experience and I’ve learnt a lot. I’m actually making some decisions about my future studies which I’ll share on here at some point but I definitely have a better idea of what I’m really interested in! Obviously doing a course from home is pretty time consuming and

BELGIUM HOLIDAY

I just recently came back from spending a week in Belgium with my family. I'd only visited Belgium on a school trip before so was really looking forward to exploring it a bit more. We stayed in a cottage on the Flemish Coast - in between Middelkerke and Westende. Our accommodation was lovely, especially the garden and I also had a cute little bedroom in the roof! The first few days were fairly relaxed and spent exploring the area, It was lovely to be only a 5-minute walk from the beach and to be walking distance from the two towns. I really enjoyed spending lots of time outside and just appreciating the views of the beach, especially in the evening as I took some gorgeous photos! We also went swimming in the pool, it was freezing but very refreshing and definitely made me want to swim more regularly. I wasn't expecting the weather to be amazing but it was fairly sunny and warm for most of the week, however, we actually went bowling and played crazy golf when the weat
