DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

CHRISTMAS CARDS - PAPERLESS POST REVIEW

I am working with Paperless Post, who kindly gifted me some coins to use on their website. However, all opinions are my own of course! Paperless Post is a company that allows you to customise online stationery such as greeting cards, invitations and flyers. You can then send them via email to the recipients, using your Paperless Post coins. These can be purchased, however, there are also some free cards available and you receive 25 free coins when you sign up too!  I was really impressed by the different designs they have, they are actually partnered with fashion designers like Kate Spade, Kelly Wearstler and Oscar de la Renta.  As we’re quickly approaching the festive season I thought this was the perfect thing to try out as it’s so easy to send Christmas cards! You can choose a design and then you have the option to customise the text, backdrop and envelope. They also offer photo cards so you can add your own photos to make it even more unique! Here are a couple of photo ca

MARCH MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Well, March is always a busy month for me, with multiple birthdays that our family celebrate and I always find that I have more plans in general. Perhaps it's due to the start of spring and whenever there is the first glimpse of some nicer weather, people tend to get out more! Nonetheless, I thought I'd share some things I've enjoyed throughout the month. Spring Time  We've had a few sunny days recently which tends to mean I go out more and despite not going to a garden centre for a least a few years, I've been to 4 in the last two weeks for various reasons. The first two times were just quick visits and then on Mother's Day we went to Porton Garden, Aquatics and Pets Centre and I did enjoy looking at the various animals, especially all the turtles as they're my favourite animal! We then went on to Wilton House Garden Centre as my Mum wanted to buy some different plants, I also decided that I definitely want to grow multiple fruits when I have my

BLOGMAS: SECRET SANTA

This year I participated in a Secret Santa for bloggers which was organised by the lovely Casey. Despite a few hiccups, it was a lovely thing to be a part of because I was able to connect with so many new bloggers and we all have a great support system now! You can check out Casey's post here if you'd like to see what everyone else got too as she kindly provided links to all of our blogs! My gifts arrived quite a while ago, packaged in some really festive Christmas Pudding wrapping paper and I really had to resist the urge to open them, I always used to be one of those kids that would feel around and try to work out what a present was when I had to wait to open it, haha! My Secret Santa was Eloise who blogs over at The Longing Wanderer . She absolutely nailed my gifts and I couldn't be happier with them so I can't thank her enough! Firstly I opened two bath bombs which smelt amazing even before opening them, I quickly recognised that they were from Lush whic

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

It's that time of the year again when everyone is trying to think about what to give people for Christmas, as well as making their own wishlists. I thought I'd do a quick post with a range of ideas because I know I always look for posts like this to get some inspiration! Beauty: → Bath or shower set - I mean you can't go wrong can you, they make a great gift and can be used by anyone. I love this set from the brand Hugg that I got from Waitrose . → Perfume/Cologne - Also a super simple idea but it's so nice to get something new to wear. Also Fragrance Direc t has 70% at the moment! → Bath bomb - A good bath is underrated and of course Lush is the ultimate go-to for amazing bath bombs but of course, lots of places sell some lovely ones. → Makeup palette - For the makeup lovers, I feel like a palette is a gift that will be appreciated and you can get eyeshadow, contour, highlight etc. James Charles x Morphe Palette is insane for those who l

THINKING ABOUT WRITING A BOOK

For quite a while I've always said that I'd love to write a book someday, it started when I was much younger and would often write different stories. Often they involved boarding school because I was obsessed with Enid Blyton's 'Mallory Towers' series, but I'd usually write 20 pages and then would forget about it until I found it in one of my many notebooks a year later. English was always one of my favourite subjects at school and I looked forward to writing different things, however as I got older my love of reading definitely subsided. In primary school, I read a lot in my spare time however when I got older and had other hobbies I stopped reading as much. I also think that having to read certain books when studying had an impact on not enjoying it as much anymore, especially after doing an English Literature A Level. Anyway, I think writing a book would be really rewarding and a great way to combine my desire to write as well as my creativity. When thin

BLOGBOX EDITION 2

Much to my surprise I recently won a giveaway to receive the new Edition 2 BlogBox , I was so pleased when I saw that I'd won - firstly because all the contents look gorgeous but also because I never seem to win things like that haha! I think the last time I entered and won a competition was one from a girly magazine when I was much younger and I won a Nintendo ds game! I received my parcel from BlogBox yesterday which was packaged wonderfully and wanted to share the contents! For anyone who hasn't heard of BlogBox it's a subscription service designed to help bloggers, each box contains bits and pieces like planning tools, photo props and discount codes. The service is run by the lovely bloggers Steff and Sam , who also happen to be Mother and Daughter! What I really like about BlogBox is how affordable it is, you can buy the Edition 2 box for just £9.50 or the Edition 1 box is currently on sale for only £5.50! Anyway, here are the things that I received. Trave

TIPS FOR SCHOOL, COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY

Since the academic year has recently started I thought I'd do a quick post to share some tips that I used or wish I knew at the time! I often found myself feeling pretty prepared and motivated at the start of the year but hopefully, some of these will help that to continue all year round, or more at least! Attitude and Behaviour >  Put in the effort now - when you get further into the year you'll thank yourself for putting in the time to learn everything properly, especially when it comes to revision as you'll already have materials to look back at. > Mistakes are good - it can be disheartening when you make mistakes or don't get the feedback you hoped for but learning from them is a really productive and useful way to help improve. > Strengths and Weaknesses - everyone has things they are better at and things they may struggle with, finding that out now and setting time aside to focus on the things you find harder will help reduce stress. You could als

OLD ENGLISH CO. HAUL & REVIEW

For all you stationery and homeware lovers, I've got a haul that you're going to enjoy today! I recently shared a competition that Old English Company were running and looking through their site made me so excited to get some bits of my own! I sort of wish I was redecorating or moving into a new house because their stuff would be so perfect for that, anyway let me share some of the bits that caught my eye! 'Notes' A5 Notebook For as long as I can remember I've been a hoarder of notebooks, mostly for my extensive list making! Since starting my blog I've used notebooks to plan blog post ideas quite a lot and I had started to come to the end of the one I'd been using so it was definitely time to get a new addition! It's great quality and I also really like the simplicity of the design too.  Grey and Gold Planner Being organised is something I'm always trying to improve, I would say I'm fairly good at it but hey if a planner can

OLD ENGLISH COMPANY COMPETITION!

I've been a fan of Old English Company for ages now, they have some great little bits including prints, homeware and stationery. I often find myself scrolling through their Instagram or Pinterest and mentally create a wishlist in my head of everything I want! I love simplistic designs and they do exactly that, they're definitely somewhere to check out if you want some new bits for your home or some gift ideas! I'd love to know if anybody already has some bits from Old English Company or if you've been eyeing something up for a while! Anyway, when they got in touch with me to let me know that they had a competition for their new Enamel Pin range I wanted to let people know! Their collection of pins are so cute and there are some really fun designs. They're a great way to jazz up a jacket, bag, or you can even buy an Enamel Pin Display Flag which I love the idea of! My favourites are definitely the Pineapple, Monstera Leaf and the Love Heart but you can ch

WHAT'S IN MY BAG?

Since I have always enjoyed watching the 'What's in my bag' videos on YouTube, I thought why not do it myself on here! I don't necessarily always carry around a bag with me but these are the items I would say are my essentials! 1) Phone - So obviously I always have my phone with me, I currently have the iPhone 6 with a white marble case. Had to use the phone to take the image but you can see my case which I had to carefully pull off without scratching the actual phone to pieces (why do they do that?) 2) Purse/Wallet - Another important item is of course your money and I have mine in this handy little mint green wallet that has an extra big compartment for your phone as well. Plus it was not expensive at all so that is also a bonus! 3) Lip balm - There is nothing I hate more than feeling like you have dry lips and not having any lip balm, so I never leave the house without it nowadays. There are hundreds of different brands but Vaseline is always a winner, the

JULY MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Firstly, how are we already in August?! This year seems to have gone so fast and all the months have sort of blurred into one, however I always enjoy reading monthly favourites so here are some of mine for August! Stationery : Okay, I admit it. I'm a sucker for stationery. I genuinely owe a huge chunk of my revision to Stabilo Boss highlighters. All those endless mind maps were completed using these and somehow it actually helped me to remember a lot of the information. I also enjoy trying to feel and appear organised  (even when I'm not) so these highlighters are something I often grab for. I couldn't not put it in my favourites really...though they may be quietly booted off this list when I receive my results later this month! Pick up a pack of 8 from Amazon using the link at the bottom of this page! Movie : Troian Bellasario aka (Spencer Hastings) has a new movie out and after loving her in PLL I was intrigued. She is a great actress and this movie conveys a poignant
