DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

MY 2018 GOALS AND RESOLUTIONS

Each and everyone has a different opinion of New Year's resolutions, personally I don't think you should put too much pressure on them, as you can't always achieve them! However I do think setting yourself some sort of goal to help better yourself and to open up new opportunities is a great thing to do! Here are 10 resolutions or goals I have set myself for 2018! Be healthier A fairly common one here and one of the hardest to stick to I'd say! I really want to start being healthier in general, for instance I'm planning to make smoothies as a replacement for breakfast or lunch on some occasions, as well as making sure I drink enough water. One of my biggest downfalls is snacking so that is also something I want to work on! I've recently made a Pinterest board with some ideas for smoothies, you can find it  here ! Start exercising more I definitely want to start being more active again, I used to love sport so this is something I hope to get b

DECEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

I'm desperately trying to hold on to every last bit of Christmas so here are some of the things I loved throughout December and the festive period! I swear it goes by quicker every year?! Beauty - Now I'm stripping it back to basics here as this month I have been so thankful for my trusty Vaseline lip balms. Now they aren't a new favourite by any means but in the colder months when your lips tend to be drier, a good lip balm is essential and Vaseline is my go to! I love all the scents but I tend to use the Aloe Vera and Rosy Lips most often, I've always got one of them close to hand! Another thing that is always needed during the winter months is hand cream, the Nivia Express Hydration hand cream is great for day to day use, I also have a Ted Baker one that I like as it smells amazing! T.V/Movies - Moving on to what I've enjoyed watching this year, and I have to say that of course I did spend most of December watching Christmas movies (Elf is my fave) but

BLOGMAS: NOVEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

So it's officially December and my favourite month of the year! This is my first year blogging around Christmas and I'm going to attempt to do some form of Blogmas, my intention is to do the '12 days of Blogmas' but we'll see if I stick to that. Anyway here is day 1! I found it hard to come up with a favourites list for November as I've mostly been sticking to what I know, but there are a few things I wanted to share! Beauty - Aussie Conditioner has always a firm favourite for me but I hadn't used it for a while so grabbed a little travel size and well let's just say, I'm going to be needing a bigger bottle! I felt like my hair felt a little dry and this conditioner was the perfect pick me up, my is left feeling so smooth and smelling absolutely amazing! I used the 3 Minute Miracle one but there are a few varieties, depending on what you need. Food -  I'm currently obsessed with Lindt Lindor balls, and to be honest you can't really b

OCTOBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Happy November everyone! I sort of feel like I spend this entire month counting down the days until December as I'm a lover of Christmas but I'm looking forward to the weather getting crisper. October seems to have flown by but here are some of my favourites from the month! Food - Not the healthiest option but I love to snack on some Sensations Poppadoms whilst watching some Netflix. I had eaten the Lime and Coriander Chutney ones multiple times, however recently I had the Mango and Red Chilli flavour and I have to say I am a big fan of both! The poppadoms are a nice change from your conventional bag of crisps and I love both flavour combinations. I usually share them with my boyfriend and we always end up racing through them! Buy it now! ^ Music - After taking time off to write music I was so glad to see that Sam Smith had released new music. Technically 'Too Good at Goodbyes' was actually released in September but I've been loving it throughout October,

FAMILY DAY OUT

I can't believe we're almost at the end of October, this year is going so quickly! For today's post I wanted to share what I got up to this weekend. I love reading posts like this because it's a great way to get to know someone and find out what sort of things they like. I'll be honest, I do enjoy a chilled weekend with Netflix and some good snacks. However it's also really good to plan things that you can look forward to! This weekend I went out for a meal with my family to Chiquito . It was my Mum's birthday recently so it was sort of a belated thing for her but also partly just because I'd wanted to go for ages! Mexican food is one of my favourite international cuisines and I had heard great things about Chiquito, when I got there I had that horrible decision of choosing between about 5 different options I wanted to try. Eventually I decided to go with the beef chilli Tacos, a classic and well known favourite meal of mine. They were absolutely d

10 THINGS TO DO IN AUTUMN

As the temperature drops and the delightful grey, rainy days become even more regular, I often find myself watching TV shows that I couldn't care less about and feeling unproductive! So to combat this feeling of boredom I have made a list of things to do in the Autumn. Go for a walk - I love going for walks in Autumn because the air is so fresh and crisp. Plus the trees are so colourful at this time of the year so going for a little walk is always nice! Whether you just pop into town, visit your local park or head out to your favourite spots, I guarantee a quick walk will make you feel productive. It's also great if you need to clear your head or just want a break from your everyday business!  Cook  -  Sometimes cooking can feel a bit like a chore but it's always rewarding when you have a delicious hearty meal at the end. My personal favourite at the moment is a creamy tomato, chicken and chorizo pasta bake. I've made this a few times recently and I absolutely lo

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Sorry for the delay with this post, I've been pretty busy! This year is going so quickly that I completely missed the August favourites but  I have probably been loving most of the things I'm going to talk about today across August and September anyway! Food - Last week my boyfriend and I celebrated being together for 3 years by going out for a meal at our local Indian restaurant. As a result their Chicken Tikka Masala, my personal favourite from their menu has found it's way into my favourites this month. It's honestly so good that we always go back (I have the pictures to prove it!!) and it has a chilled atmosphere which makes it great for smaller or larger groups of people. Drink - In order to try and hold on to that last remaining bit of summer I have been enjoying Costa's Fruit Coolers - well the mango and passionfruit one to be precise! I am so glad my little town has a Costa because this drink so refreshing when the sun it out! Plus the designs on their c

10 CHILDHOOD SNACKS I'D BRING BACK

I was talking with my family recently about snacks that have been discontinued in the U.K and have come up with a list of things I would love to see back on our shelves! Admittedly most of these are chocolate but that's only because there were so many to choose from! 1) Mingles - These are at the top of my list because these were my absolute favourite to have at Christmas time. Bendick's still do some minty alternatives but I'm sorry, why were these ever taken away?!  2) Calippo Shots - As a child this would always be my choice when the sun decided to show itself. Everyone I knew would also see how quickly they could eat them which almost always ended in brain freeze! I was surprised to see they had been discontinued though.  3) Mars Delight - I'm pretty sure these were never around long anyway but I would still love to have another. It was just a much lighter and crispier version than an actual Mars Bar, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

JULY MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Firstly, how are we already in August?! This year seems to have gone so fast and all the months have sort of blurred into one, however I always enjoy reading monthly favourites so here are some of mine for August! Stationery : Okay, I admit it. I'm a sucker for stationery. I genuinely owe a huge chunk of my revision to Stabilo Boss highlighters. All those endless mind maps were completed using these and somehow it actually helped me to remember a lot of the information. I also enjoy trying to feel and appear organised  (even when I'm not) so these highlighters are something I often grab for. I couldn't not put it in my favourites really...though they may be quietly booted off this list when I receive my results later this month! Pick up a pack of 8 from Amazon using the link at the bottom of this page! Movie : Troian Bellasario aka (Spencer Hastings) has a new movie out and after loving her in PLL I was intrigued. She is a great actress and this movie conveys a poignant
