DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

BLOGMAS: THE CHRISTMAS TAG!

Happy Christmas Eve everybody! I thought The Christmas Tag would be very appropriate to do today, I tag anyone who wants to do it!

Q) What is your favourite Christmas film?
A) Elf! It is just brilliant!

Q) Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
A) It's real, wouldn't have it any other way!

Q) What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
A) New York or somewhere really cold and snowy because we don't really have much hope for a white Christmas where I live!

Q) Do you stay in your pyjamas or dress up on Christmas Day?
A) I stay in my pyjamas whilst opening presents, having breakfast and then at some point, usually late morning I'll get dressed. However we don't necessarily dress up, I'll usually wear a top or jumper I received as a present with some jeans.

Q) What is your favourite holiday snack?
A) Cheeselets! They are a must have and something I can eat and eat!
/
Q) Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
A) I'd like to think I'm pretty good, I don't get all fancy with it but I do actually enjoy wrapping so I try to take care with it!

Q) What is your favourite Christmas song?
A) Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens is my all time favourite but there are so many I love!

Q) When do you open your presents?
A) We always open them all on Christmas morning, just after 7 nowadays but we used to get up earlier! Stockings first and then we open the rest of our presents!
Q) When do you put up your tree and who decorates it?
A) We put it up in the first week of December, and I always decorate it with minimal help from my younger sisters!

Q) When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
A) Really early, like really really early - I'd say properly around September but I definitely think about it all year!

Q) Where do you spend Christmas?
A) At home, we used to do alternate years and have one Christmas at home and the next at my Grandparents but now we just have it at home and then visit relatives in the next few days!

Q) Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
A) Yes we always have a 'Christmas Eve box' which usually consists of some new pyjamas and some hot chocolate/snacks of some sort. We open it in the evening and then watch a Christmas film!

Q) Do you set an alarm or wake up naturally?
A) I set an alarm and then wake up my sisters, I don't want to waste the day as it goes so quickly!

Q) Favourite Christmas Gift?
A) This one is impossible as I have had some amazing presents but one thing that sticks out to me was the toy kitchen I got one year. I was really young but I vaguely remember how excited I was and we also have a video to watch back of it! It was covered over with a big sheet and I just know that as soon as I walked in to our living room I would have seen this giant present for me and as a child that is quite possibly the best thing!

Q) Any Christmas traditions?
A) We used to always open our stockings sat on our parents bed but we'd never fit now so just take it into the living room. Most years at least someone gets a new board game so it is always a tradition to play that in the evening at some point!

Q) What is your favourite part about Christmas?
A) Everything! It's all important and is what makes it my favourite time of the year so I couldn't choose!

Merry Christmas everybody, I hope you have an amazing day!🎄

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
