DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

OLD ENGLISH CO. HAUL & REVIEW

For all you stationery and homeware lovers, I've got a haul that you're going to enjoy today! I recently shared a competition that Old English Company were running and looking through their site made me so excited to get some bits of my own! I sort of wish I was redecorating or moving into a new house because their stuff would be so perfect for that, anyway let me share some of the bits that caught my eye!

'Notes' A5 Notebook

For as long as I can remember I've been a hoarder of notebooks, mostly for my extensive list making! Since starting my blog I've used notebooks to plan blog post ideas quite a lot and I had started to come to the end of the one I'd been using so it was definitely time to get a new addition! It's great quality and I also really like the simplicity of the design too.

Grey and Gold Planner

Being organised is something I'm always trying to improve, I would say I'm fairly good at it but hey if a planner can help even more then who can say no! I love writing and planning so this is definitely something I'm going to get a lot of use out of, it did take a while to choose which colour I liked best though! I loved the pink one and the pearlescent writing on the black one but grey is one of my go-to colours at the moment and if I was ever redecorating then grey would definitely be a part of the colour scheme!

Monstera Leaf Keyring

Tropical leaves are definitely popular right now and I'm totally into it, I think they're so pretty and this dainty keyring is no exception. I was on the lookout for a new keyring to jazz up my keys a bit and I think I've found an ideal one here!

'Fancy A Cuppa' Mug

In the past few years, I've started drinking more and more hot drinks - mostly tea because it's just the best but anyway, this means I've been needing more mugs. Actually, that's a lie, I have loads of mugs but most are ones I've had years, a lot are from Easter eggs haha! There are so many mugs with cute, funny and relatable quotes on the website but this particular one stood out to me most and I love the calligraphy style font. Also, it's the perfect size for me too!

'There Is Beauty In Simplicity' Print

Now, this was actually just the thank you note that they put in the parcel but I really liked that they used one of their prints instead of it just being a plain bit of paper, it seems more personal in a way! Also, this quote is something I agree with for sure and the font is my sort of thing, essentially you get a free mini print!

British Food Map Print

I am so obsessed with this, I just love the whole idea of it and can't wait to get a frame for it so I can put it up on the wall! Britain is home to many classic foods and this features almost everything you could think of, I also like that it's arranged in terms of location too. As a massive lover of food, this is something that's right up my street, I wonder how many things I've eaten on there! I just think it's so creative and would definitely look great in a kitchen or anywhere really as it's so simple but really effective!

'There's No Place Like Home' Card

This is actually a greeting card but I'll probably keep it and use it as a mini print as it's too nice to give away! The reason I picked this particular one out is because the quote is obviously very well known from The Wizard of Oz which is one of my all time favourite films ever. I've loved it from about 2 or 3 so as soon as I saw this I couldn't resist, I love the light blue and the design itself too so I just had to get it!

Overall I was really pleased with everything I bought, all of it so aesthetic don't you think! There was so many other lovely things as well from coasters and tea towels to pillow cases, enamel pins or pocket mirrors! It arrived really quickly and it is all great quality so is completely worth it if you're thinking of buying something! I'd actually really love to know if you've already got anything from Old English Company or if there is anything on your wishlist!

*Disclaimer: I was given a voucher for one of my previous posts which I used to get these items, all opinions are my own and I was not required to do this post.

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
