DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

AUTUMN SHOWS AND FILMS

Autumn is in full swing and during the many rainy days, watching a show or film is the best way to spend a day! So, I thought I'd share some of my favourite things to watch during this season.. Gilmore Girls Nothing says Autumn like Gilmore Girls, it's always the most mentioned show when it comes to this time of the year. Stars Hollow is the ultimate cosy town and they do seasonal so well, it's my favourite show and is one you can re-watch whenever. I've already re-watched it earlier this year and I'm already missing it! For anyone that has no idea what Gilmore Girls is, it follows mother and daughter duo - Lorelai and Rory and if you've never watched it now is a perfect time! The Great British Bake Off Another classic feel-good show that I love and I’m so pleased they were able to do another series this year! I’d definitely recommend having snacks whilst you’re watching though because it makes me so hungry! Chesapeake Shores I've not heard many people men...

HANDPICKED BERRIES, HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS & HOT CHOCOLATES

Something I've wanted to do for a while is to go to a pick your own farm. I didn't get a chance to go in the summer but we decided to check out the Ansty Farm for my Mum's birthday just to have a wander around and see what was left. The Ansty PYO and Farm Shop is only 10 minutes down the road from us and I really don't know why we've not been before! As it's October I knew there wouldn't be a massive choice of things to pick, however, the main thing I wanted to find were raspberries and luckily there were still some about. Due to the recent bad weather, the people working there weren't sure if there would be much to pick but after having a walk around we actually managed to find some really nice raspberries. We also were able to get some golden raspberries, which I'd never had before but was definitely intrigued. It was quite strange to see yellow raspberries but they tasted pretty similar to the usual ones and I'm surprised you don'...

THE AUTUMN TAG

I haven't done a tag in quite a while and always find them great fun, so I was pleased when I saw that Michael had tagged me in The Autumn Tag! Essentially this tag is a set of questions all about, you guessed it - Autumn! Definitely go and check out Michael's post here as he had some great answers, thanks again for tagging me!  What signifies the start of Autumn for you? Once it gets chillier out, the evenings get darker earlier and the leaves start changing. Also by October 1st I always feel ready for Autumn. What is your favourite Autumn scent? I love things like cinnamon, cedarwood, black pepper - anything spicy, woody or earthy really. What is your favourite Autumn colour? Burgundy is one of my favourite colours this time of the year, a lot of my outfits tend to include something burgundy around Autumn. I also love all the colours the leaves turn too, it looks so pretty!                      ...

AUGUST & SEPTEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

As we are well past August now and most of my favourites were related to my holiday (which I've already done a whole  post about), I decided to combine August and September together. There is quite a random mix of things here but isn't that always the case! Also how mad is it that we're already in Autumn!! Place Now I do obviously need to mention my holiday a little, as it was a big favourite for August. Belgium was so lovely, it's the sort of place where you instantly feel at home and like you know your way around - if you know what I mean? Bruges is a great city for amazing architecture, it's sort of like a fairytale city from the past and it's also got a brilliant array of chocolate shops too. I have to say that Belgian beaches are underrated, we were 5 minutes walk away from the beach at Middelkerke and it's so gorgeous, I would really recommend visiting if you get the chance. Music Sorting of linking to my holiday, I made a...

AUTUMN JUMPER HAUL #2

Since I didn't include all of my jumpers in my last Autumn haul, I thought I would do it today as it has definitely got chillier recently! I love this time of the year when it's starting to feel Christmassy and you can wear all the cosy jumpers! Like before I will similar jumpers to the ones I have featured, as these exact ones probably aren't available now! This Black and White striped jumper goes perfectly with jeans for a simple and sophisticated look. It's definitely a slightly tighter fit so if you like more over sized jumpers I'd recommend you go up a size or two! This was from H&M a while ago now, for about £15 but I'm sure you can find similar from a few places as stripes are so in right now! I like both of these options on Dorothy Perkins and Asos . I love wearing thinner jumpers at Autumn when the temperature is dropping, they're so easy to chuck on and you can layer up as well if needed. This dusky pink jumper was a great bargain from go...

OCTOBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Happy November everyone! I sort of feel like I spend this entire month counting down the days until December as I'm a lover of Christmas but I'm looking forward to the weather getting crisper. October seems to have flown by but here are some of my favourites from the month! Food - Not the healthiest option but I love to snack on some Sensations Poppadoms whilst watching some Netflix. I had eaten the Lime and Coriander Chutney ones multiple times, however recently I had the Mango and Red Chilli flavour and I have to say I am a big fan of both! The poppadoms are a nice change from your conventional bag of crisps and I love both flavour combinations. I usually share them with my boyfriend and we always end up racing through them! Buy it now! ^ Music - After taking time off to write music I was so glad to see that Sam Smith had released new music. Technically 'Too Good at Goodbyes' was actually released in September but I've been loving it throughout October,...

A QUICK & EASY HALLOWEEN NIGHT IN

So it's that time of the year again where everyone eats way too much sugar, buys pointless plastic rubbish to 'decorate' and Pumpkins fill shops everywhere. I'll be honest, I don't really get into Halloween anymore, I liked to dress up and go trick or treating when I was younger but it sort of loses it's fun when you're older. However I have come up with a few ideas of things you can do if you don't have anything planned for Halloween! Treats To Last Until Christmas One of the best things about Halloween is the excuse it gives you to pig out on junk. There are endless possibilities to the Halloween themed sweets, chocolate and other snacks and you certainly don't have to be a child to enjoy them! In fact I think we have it better of than them as essentially we get all the goods without having to walk around in the cold asking for them! We don't get a lot of trick-or-treater's in my road so we always end up with things left over, but wh...

10 THINGS TO DO IN AUTUMN

As the temperature drops and the delightful grey, rainy days become even more regular, I often find myself watching TV shows that I couldn't care less about and feeling unproductive! So to combat this feeling of boredom I have made a list of things to do in the Autumn. Go for a walk - I love going for walks in Autumn because the air is so fresh and crisp. Plus the trees are so colourful at this time of the year so going for a little walk is always nice! Whether you just pop into town, visit your local park or head out to your favourite spots, I guarantee a quick walk will make you feel productive. It's also great if you need to clear your head or just want a break from your everyday business!  Cook  -  Sometimes cooking can feel a bit like a chore but it's always rewarding when you have a delicious hearty meal at the end. My personal favourite at the moment is a creamy tomato, chicken and chorizo pasta bake. I've made this a few times recently and I absolutely lo...

AUTUMN JUMPER HAUL

It's finally that time of the year when everyone gets their jumpers back out and I have to say, I have been waiting!! I thought I would try something new today so here is a sort of Autumn haul thingy of some of my favourite jumpers. None of these jumpers are recent purchases so you can't get an identical match, however I have done some nosing around to find something similar! The first jumper is actually more red rather than purple toned in real life but burgundy is one of my favourite colours to wear at this time of the year. I picked this up in New Look for around £15-£20 a couple of years ago and it has become a wardrobe staple for me. Obviously you can't get the same one but this Pull&Bear one on Asos is pretty close and it's only £19.99. This next jumper is much lighter than the rest and is definitely great around the start of Autumn when the temperature starts to drop. As it is much thinner it is also easy to wear to layer with coats, plus white goe...
