DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

ABOUT

Hello everyone!

Firstly I'd like to say welcome to my blog, I'm Lorna, 21 from Dorset. I've now been blogging on and off since finishing my A Levels in 2017! My blog is a creative outlet and a way to share my experiences and interests. I don't have a particular niche and write about anything and everything - whether it's tv/film favourites, tips, or joining with a blog tag! One of my favourite parts about blogging is being able to connect with other bloggers on social media, it's great being able to interact with people all over the world! Starting my blog has also improved my photography skills and helped me have a better idea about what sort of career I want to go into. I also like reading different types of blogs, whether that's travel, beauty, fashion, food or more personal posts - I enjoy learning about people's life experiences and interests! This is a personal and lifestyle blog and I'm glad I can talk about a variety of topics. I also think it will be so interesting to look back on older posts to see how my experiences and interests develop.

Previously, I said that I was working to save up money to go travelling and although that's still a massive goal of mine, my current focus has changed. I'm currently working towards starting a new university course in September because I finally feel confident in what I want to study. Travelling is still a massive goal of mine because I love exploring snd I hope to visit places all around the world when I can!

I hadn't updated my About page for a while (it still said I was 19!) so thought it was time and I'll definitely be updating it more regularly now. Thank you again for having a quick read, feel free to check out my posts or you can find me on my various social media too!

Lorna xx

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -...

A QUICK AND EASY CHOCOLATEY TREAT

One of my all time favourite recipes are the simple 'Easter Nests', I've enjoyed making them since I was a child so I thought I'd share my recipe! Just as to begin with, I understand that Easter has already been and gone...but I couldn't resist not posting about the ones I made the other day and you can enjoy them all year round! So why do I like them so much? Well firstly, they're ridiculously easy to make and require only a few ingredients. They are also very adaptable, I used Rice Krispies but Shredded Wheat, Cornflakes and other cereals will work just as well! I obviously put Mini Eggs on the top of mine, however, you could leave them plain or choose a topping of your choice! This recipe is also a great one if your making things with a group of friends, siblings (like me) or especially with younger children as it's simple and fun! I definitely think they're ideal for Easter/Spring birthday parties or if you're just having guests round sin...
