DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

MY JEWELLERY COLLECTION

I wouldn't say I'm massively into jewellery - you won't see me with an arm full of bracelets and I don't even have my ears pierced but I do have a few minimalistic bits that I love and enjoy wearing so I thought I'd share them with you today!

Pandora Entwined Hearts Ring

This was a gift from my boyfriend on my 16th birthday and I have worn it every day since, in fact, I can't really imagine not wearing it now! We had only been together for 6 months and after being together for well over 3 years, it is definitely one of my most special pieces of jewellery. It is so subtle and simple that it can easily be dressed up or worn more casually which I absolutely love and I think the combination of the silver and gold is gorgeous. Check it out here.

Pandora March Droplet Birthstone Ring

Another birthday present, however, this one was from my Aunt and Uncle. They gave it to me on my 18th birthday so I've almost had it for a year now, I loved the idea of incorporating a birthstone into jewellery as it makes it seem a little more personal. It is still so minimalistic though (which I love) and the Aquamarine is such a beautiful colour! Click here if you're part of the March birthday gang or if you want to find your own birthstone!

Pandora Ribbon of Love Necklace

So this is my newest addition to my jewellery collection, it was one of my Christmas presents from my boyfriend so I haven't had it long at all. Again, I love how subtle the design is, I think you can probably tell that's the sort of jewellery I'm into right now! I think this is probably one I'll keep for when I go out or special occasions just because it is so delicate, but you could definitely keep it more casual! Head over to Pandora to find it for yourself!

Daisy Dixon Alexa Watch

I'd wanted a watch like this for a while so I was so pleased when I opened this on my birthday (thanks again to my boyfriend). I just think that a watch is a perfect accessory for most outfits and this one just goes with anything, that's the beauty of monochrome things! I did think that wearing a watch with a bigger face might drown out my wrist but it is a perfect size and is actually really comfortable, plus it is always handy to be able to check the time! You can find it here, or why not have a look at other watches by Daisy Dixon?

Rotary Expandable Silver Watch

Ironically, after not owning a watch for years, I also received this one on my birthday as well! This one was from my Great Uncle and is much smaller. What I like about this one is the simplicity of the design, I always like silver jewellery and the stretchy band means it fits really well which is useful if you're going about your daily routine as you don't need to worry about it falling off! Unfortunately I can't find the exact one but you can check out Rotary's other watches here.

Jack Wills Carrock Bracelet

This was a Christmas present from my cousin a few years ago now, accessories like this are a great way to incorporate a bit of colour into a more simple outfit but the fact that is is a very delicate bracelet means that it can still be subtle. I've had quite a few braided style bracelets but this is definitely the best quality and is pretty easy to adjust so it fits you properly. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you can still buy these, but it is one of those bracelets that I think suits a massive range of ages.

Star Necklace

This was also a Christmas present, quite a few years ago now actually, in fact, it has probably been longer than I think! When I was younger I wasn't a huge jewellery wearer, however, I did keep this for special occasions. I associate most with my prom which was almost 3 years ago now (how?!), the intricate gem detailing on the star made it the ideal accessory for my prom dress which only had one shoulder so paring it with this necklace complimented the more open neckline. This is definitely something I'll keep for years as I associate it with that night and pieces like this are timeless really!

Infinity Bracelet

One of my friends got me this a couple of years ago, again it is fairly small and simple which we all know is right up my street! Things like this are the ideal sort of presents for friends when you get older as it can seem more special and personal. I don't know if it was just my friends but usually, the go to present would be some chocolate and some sort of body spray!

Silver Watch and Vertical Bar Necklace

These pieces are definitely some of the most special in my collection as it was a present from my Great Grandad. He picked it out for my 14th birthday but unfortunately (at an amazing age of 98) he passed away in the November before. My two sisters and I all were pretty close with him and I have so many amazing memories with him so something like this is obviously very special and I will always keep it safe. Regardless of the sentimentality of it, both the watch and necklace are again very delicate and simplistic, the vertical bar necklace especially as it is so dainty so could be easily worn as an everyday piece.

I do have a few more bits and pieces that I've kept from over the years (a lot of bracelets from school trips and random stalls at local events), however, these are probably the main pieces that I thought I'd share with you today! It is not a big collection by any means but each piece is special in its own way due to them all being gifts. I would love to know what your favourite pieces of jewellery are!

  1. I used to have this infinity bracelet but I don't know where it's gone, such a shame cause I loved it! Some of my favourite pieces of jewellery I own now are from Pandora, I have so many! Your entwined hearts ring is super cute I've got the one that's loads of infinity signs all the way round as well as many more!

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
