As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023! I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...
One of my all time favourite recipes are the simple 'Easter Nests', I've enjoyed making them since I was a child so I thought I'd share my recipe! Just as to begin with, I understand that Easter has already been and gone...but I couldn't resist not posting about the ones I made the other day and you can enjoy them all year round!
Well firstly, they're ridiculously easy to make and require only a few ingredients. They are also very adaptable, I used Rice Krispies but Shredded Wheat, Cornflakes and other cereals will work just as well! I obviously put Mini Eggs on the top of mine, however, you could leave them plain or choose a topping of your choice! This recipe is also a great one if your making things with a group of friends, siblings (like me) or especially with younger children as it's simple and fun! I definitely think they're ideal for Easter/Spring birthday parties or if you're just having guests round since most people will probably enjoy it and they look pretty cute when they're laid out!
But regardless of all those reasons, they just taste damn good and who can't get on board that?!
Here are the ones I made (with some vague help from my sisters!) I have to admit, we've already tucked into a few but I resisted the rest so I could take these photos! I sort of winged the recipe as it's quite hard to mess up but to follow the steps I took just head down below!

So why do I like them so much?

RECIPE
Ingredients:
300g of Milk Chocolate (your choice, though some chocolate doesn't always melt as well)
160g of Rice Krispies or an alternative cereal
3 tbsp of Golden Syrup
42 Mini Eggs (enough for 2 per nest) or alternative toppings
(makes 24)
...
Method:
1) Break up chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl, melt over a pan of water. (Be careful not to let the water boil)
2) Pour the melted chocolate over the bowl of Rice Krispies and stir in so they are all covered.
3) Add 3 tbsp of Golden Syrup and stir in thoroughly.
4) Spoon the contents into cake cases and place 2 Mini Eggs on top of each one.
(push them down slightly so they stay in place)
5) Leave to set in the fridge for approximately 1 hour.
6) Enjoy!
Now, I'm off to enjoy one of the ones I made, let me know if you do make them or if they're something you enjy around this time of the year!
