DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

ACTION CAMERA & WIRELESS CHARGER REVIEW : PURFECT SOLUXIONS

I was recently contacted by Philex Electronic Ltd, a leading brand that produces a range of different electronic equipment. They have branched out to create an online presence called 'Purfect Soluxions' which involves exclusive content being sold directly through Amazon and a platform in which they can share and create content with a number of influencers.

I am a huge lover of technology and love trying new bits out. You can find a number of different products that I've talked about in my posts so I was really excited about this collaboration opportunity!

I have two products to review today, however, first I would just like to commend the company itself. The efficient and informative emails, as well as the super quick arrival of the products, made it a pleasure to work with them!

Lexi 4k Action Camera

I've always enjoyed experimenting with different cameras and elements of photography and an action camera is something I've not properly used before. I was really intrigued to try this out, it came with some accessories which allow you to mount it onto things such as a bike, as well as the waterproof housing which I am yet to properly use! The instructions are all pretty clear and the camera itself is simple to use. What I like best is how portable it is, it would be perfect to take around on a day trip or holiday - especially an adventure or extreme sports one!

I have to say that I haven't been anywhere to properly test out the 'action' part of the camera but I did test out the video and camera features just to see what it was like. I went for a walk around my town to see what sort of shots I could get. Now the quality isn't amazing - though I definitely need to play around with the settings more, but as it is so affordable and designed for action shots then I don't think that's too bad!

Here are a few images & a video that I took using the camera whilst walking around my town, I definitely need to adjust the exposure and test out different settings but all of them came out clear!

Another useful aspect with this is that you can download an app which then allows you to control the camera straight from your phone. It's also really easy to experiment with different settings using the app and will be useful if someone else is using the camera (attached to a bike, underwater etc.) as I will still be able to see what is being recorded.

Overall I am really pleased with the product and I will definitely be using it when I go out and about. I can't wait to take it on holiday with me in the summer, but I will definitely continue to experiment and test it out in the meantime! If you're looking for a portable, affordable and easy to use action camera then this is definitely one I would recommend and you can get it straight from Amazon

iStar Wireless Charger

I've been intrigued by wireless chargers for a while now, I wanted to know are they useful or are they just pointless? I really like the design of this particular one, it's really thin, lightweight and looks pretty sleek so would be a nice addition to a desk or bedside table. There isn't much to set up so it's really easy to use and it also works through most phone cases.

The way that this works is to use Qi, which essentially provides energy through magnetic induction. In order for this wireless charger to work on your device, it needs to be Qi compatible or you can buy a Qi receiver/a wireless charging case. I have the iPhone 7 so needed to buy a receiver (I got mine from eBay for less than £3) and whilst that may seem a fuss, the receiver itself is so thin and small that it's not a big deal. What I like most about wireless charging is that I can easily pick up my phone and get up quickly if needed. Sometimes it's easy to get tangled up in cables and you can forget that it is plugged in and charging so this is definitely a benefit!

Now obviously it still uses a wire since the actual charger itself has to be plugged in, which sounds pretty ridiculous. However, this would be an ideal thing to have on a desk at work or home, especially if you're frequently taking calls or needing to move around as you don't have the fuss of constantly unplugging your phone all the time and can just leave the wireless charging pad there ready! I'll definitely be using this when I'm blogging, sketching or writing to do lists as I'm constantly switching between my phone, notebooks or laptop so this will make it much easier!

Another important aspect of this is obviously how well it charges your device and it definitely charged mine pretty quickly! I rarely let my phone's battery percentage get too low anyway but this is the perfect thing to use if you need a quick boost before heading out somewhere! I did let my battery percentage drop to see how quickly it would charge all the way back up to 100% and I was pleased with how quickly it did it, it's not super quick but at this price, I can't complain so all in all I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a wireless charger! Again you can buy it directly from Amazon here

A massive thank you again to Philex Electronic Ltd for reaching out to me, I'm really excited to see how Purfect Soluxions develops and connects with influencers, I will definitely be looking into other products to try out in the future!

  1. It's pretty cool how you got to partner up with Philex. I've heard so much about the GoPro that I was wondering where their competitor went XD. It's pretty cool to see this action camera at work! I love wireless chargers! Keeps the mess away. Glad you're enjoying it so far!

MARCH MONTHLY FAVOURITES

March is always a pretty busy time, it's known as the 'birthday month' in our family because between the 1st and 21st, 7 of us have celebrated our birthdays! This means that there is a lot of family time, a lot of presents and a lot of cake which is a pretty good mix - plus there are loads of things I've been loving this month so I'll get started! Weather Something I had to mention in this monthly favourites was the rather strange weather we had! We'd not had any decent snow since 2013 and then we had multiple snow days in March, so I think it's fair to say that Spring was delayed! I actually really like the snow, it's so amazing to look out at, especially when it is untouched! Although I did slip over on the ice, straight on my back...so that wasn't as great! Fashion  This month I have worn my denim jacket constantly, I don't know how I've lived without one for so long! Besides the random snow days, we've definitely had

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -
