DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

5 MUST HAVE APPS

Since there seems to be an app for everything these days, I've made a list of the apps I have been loving and using recently!

1) BuzzFeed - So I'm pretty sure most people have heard of BuzzFeed (if not, why?!), but basically it's an entertainment platform that provides news, life hacks, recipes, quizzes etc. I'll tell you what though, whatever you use BuzzFeed for, it is great for procrastinating! I'll be honest, I have probably gone through the most random and pointless quizzes on there but hey if you're ever on a long journey or something then it can be a laugh! Plus there's also tonnes of helpful tips, videos and creative ideas that can provide so much inspiration to try out something new!

2) Notebook - This app is absolutely amazing for organising things and I've started using it to plan my blog posts. Like me, I'm sure that finding new and engaging blog post ideas can be challenging so this is a great way to note things down whenever you think of them! (in the shower, am I right?) You can design your own virtual notebooks and colour code to your hearts content but what I really like is that you can add text, checklists, photos, audio, sketches and other files. So you can really store whatever you need all in one place.

3) Snapseed - Over time I have used and experimented with many different editing apps but I still hadn't found a perfect free app. However a while ago I downloaded Snapseed and was so pleased with the variety of different editing options and quality. It's so easy to use and you can get some really  amazing results with them. Photos are obviously a significant part of many blogs so finding great apps like this is always useful, especially as you can do it all from your phone!

4) VoucherCodes - I doubt this is a new concept to anyone but I seriously advise you to download this app purely because of the vast amount of deals it can get you. Whether you want restaurants, fashion, tech or fitness products, this app can save you money and hey who doesn't like that?! It's easy to use both online and offline and they're always adding new discounts and offers so go check it out now - I apologise in advance for those who get excited by all the deals and end up splurging, we have all been there!

5) QuizUp - As you probably gathered from above, I'm a sucker for quizzes and have always enjoyed playing different general knowledge games from when I was a child. QuizUp is a great app that has millions of different quiz categories and you can play online, with friends or on your own. There are the obvious topics such as general knowledge, movie/tv, music etc. However it doesn't end there and genuinely you can find almost anything, from quizzes about jokes, to breakfast foods, to animal breeds. It's a perfect little app if you need to pass time or if like me, you are very competitive!

Obviously I got these apps on the Apple Store, but I'm sure they're also available for Android phones too!

There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
