DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN REVIEW

Image credit So like me, I expect you have either been to see The Greatest Showman recently or you have at least heard people talking about it a lot! As soon I saw the trailer I knew I definitely wanted to watch it, I love a musical and once I'd heard people say great things about it then there was no other option than to arrange a trip to the cinema! Anyway, my family, boyfriend and I headed to Dorchester last weekend and went to the Plaza - a great little cinema with a gorgeous Art Deco vibe. We've been to see quite a few movies there and I have to say it is a great experience, their prices are so affordable and I don't think I've ever been to a cinema with such great leg room! Trust me, when you have it, you appreciate it! Supporting local businesses is always important so if you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend you check out the Plaza ! Now, back to the movie itself! Since a lot of people had already watched it, I had a certain expectation ...

THE VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD

A slightly more different post today as I was kindly nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award! I'm still fairly new to the blogging scene so to be nominated for things like this is always a lovely surprise, thank you so much to Bella! Her blog - Life With Bella N is a fab one and you should definitely check it out! The Versatile Blogger Award is an excellent way to find out some things about your fellow bloggers, as well as discovering new ones. If you are nominated, there are some basic rules: - Thank those that nominated you - Share 7 facts about yourself - Nominate 15 other bloggers 7 Facts About Me:  1) I'd like to be taller - I'm about 5ft 1-2 so yes I have the daily struggles of clothes being too long, people thinking you're much younger than you are and just constantly having to look up. I don't hate being short, I'm used to it now and there are definitely some perks, however I would like an extra few inches! 2) I love do...

20 SELF CARE TIPS

Everyone has days where you need to take some time for yourself and I've created a list of a few suggestions! Taking some time out of your day to focus on yourself may seem selfish but it can really improve your mood and day, anyway, being selfish every so often never hurt anyone! Have a pamper day Light some candles and run a bath with your favourite Lush bath bomb, paint your nails, do a face mask or even take a trip to a spa. Pampering yourself is a great way to make you feel relaxed and refreshed! Binge watch Netflix Sometimes all you need is a evening, (or an entire day) to watch your favourite shows on Netflix. Whether it's something new you've come across or you're re-watching something for the 80th time, nothing can beat a day of Netflix! Or take a trip to the Cinema  You can spend a couple hours lost in a great film and it is always good to get out and to watch something new!  Go for a walk One of the most obvious but not to b...

THE BRITISH TAG

I think tags are one of the most fun posts to do and to read, they're a bit of a laugh but you can often find a lot about someone's personality through them! I've seen quite a few people do 'The British Tag' so thought that today I'd share my answers! I'm not sure who came up with this originally but credit goes to them for the idea, though I've also added a few of my own questions! 1) How many cups of tea do you have a day? Milk and sugar? I'm not really a big drinker of any sort of beverages, I just always seem to forget and definitely need to change that! So I'd say on average just one cup of tea, however I'm not opposed to having more! I have it with milk and two sugars.  2) Favourite part of a Roast dinner? Yorkshire puddings or if we have them then pigs in blankets - but we usually only have that around Christmas! 3) Go to dunking biscuit? Now I only like to dunk occasionally as it is so disappointing when you...

MY 2018 GOALS AND RESOLUTIONS

Each and everyone has a different opinion of New Year's resolutions, personally I don't think you should put too much pressure on them, as you can't always achieve them! However I do think setting yourself some sort of goal to help better yourself and to open up new opportunities is a great thing to do! Here are 10 resolutions or goals I have set myself for 2018! Be healthier A fairly common one here and one of the hardest to stick to I'd say! I really want to start being healthier in general, for instance I'm planning to make smoothies as a replacement for breakfast or lunch on some occasions, as well as making sure I drink enough water. One of my biggest downfalls is snacking so that is also something I want to work on! I've recently made a Pinterest board with some ideas for smoothies, you can find it  here ! Start exercising more I definitely want to start being more active again, I used to love sport so this is something I hope to get b...

DECEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

I'm desperately trying to hold on to every last bit of Christmas so here are some of the things I loved throughout December and the festive period! I swear it goes by quicker every year?! Beauty - Now I'm stripping it back to basics here as this month I have been so thankful for my trusty Vaseline lip balms. Now they aren't a new favourite by any means but in the colder months when your lips tend to be drier, a good lip balm is essential and Vaseline is my go to! I love all the scents but I tend to use the Aloe Vera and Rosy Lips most often, I've always got one of them close to hand! Another thing that is always needed during the winter months is hand cream, the Nivia Express Hydration hand cream is great for day to day use, I also have a Ted Baker one that I like as it smells amazing! T.V/Movies - Moving on to what I've enjoyed watching this year, and I have to say that of course I did spend most of December watching Christmas movies (Elf is my fave) but ...

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2017

Happy New Year everybody! I can't believe it is 2018, the last year went so quickly! After having a break off around Christmas I am back and ready to start blogging again. Before I get into my plans for the year I thought I would share what I got for Christmas this year! Like everyone, I'm not bragging - I am very grateful for everything of course!! I've always enjoyed seeing the gifts people have received so here are a few of the things I got! One of my main presents and something I was really looking forward to opening is my new graphic tablet. I love getting creative and have been interested in developing my digital art skills for a while so this was the perfect gift for me. I got the Chuwi 12" tablet which is such a great size and runs on Windows or Android, the stylus has great pen pressure recognition and I've found it so easy to draw with. Maybe in the future, I'll share some of my work, once I've experimented with it more! Something else ...
