DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

THE VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD

A slightly more different post today as I was kindly nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award! I'm still fairly new to the blogging scene so to be nominated for things like this is always a lovely surprise, thank you so much to Bella! Her blog - Life With Bella N is a fab one and you should definitely check it out!

The Versatile Blogger Award is an excellent way to find out some things about your fellow bloggers, as well as discovering new ones. If you are nominated, there are some basic rules:

- Thank those that nominated you
- Share 7 facts about yourself
- Nominate 15 other bloggers

7 Facts About Me:

1) I'd like to be taller - I'm about 5ft 1-2 so yes I have the daily struggles of clothes being too long, people thinking you're much younger than you are and just constantly having to look up. I don't hate being short, I'm used to it now and there are definitely some perks, however I would like an extra few inches!

2) I love doing quizzes - I can just spend ages testing myself on random subjects, Buzzfeed is great for that! I have always enjoyed quizzes, whether they were at school, in my magazines I loved as a kid, panel shows or online. Equally, I also enjoy testing other people (much to their enjoyment...) When I was younger, I regularly asked my Mum to recite every child's birthday in my class!

3) In 2001 (aged 2) I was given the 'Trendy Toddler' award in our local carnival. This basically involved me going round the town in a car and waving at people on carnival night, though I did get a pretty cool trophy too!

4) The Wizard of Oz is one of my favourite movies - I first watched it when I was about 2 and fell in love, I then proceeded to watch it every single day for a considerable amount of time. When finding out I was going to be a big sister, my name suggestions were Dorothy for a girl and Toto for a boy, but unfortunately my parents didn't go with my choices!! Nowadays I still enjoy it because it makes me feel so nostalgic.

5) I hope to set foot on every continent - I have always wanted to travel and I would love to say that I had completed that one day! So far I've done 2 of 7!

6) I enjoy learning - I know a fair amount of people hate school, however I actually quite liked it. Sure, it had moments that sucked but I loved being in an environment where I could learn constantly and still be around friends!

7) In 2 days I will have been with my boyfriend for a whole 40 months - It seems like yesterday that we first met but at the same time it also feels like we have been together forever!

...

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
