DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

BLOGMAS: NOVEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

At last, it's finally my favourite month of the year! I'm going to attempt to do the 12 days of Blogmas this year and to begin I thought it would be nice to look back on the things I enjoyed over the last month. The posts will become much more festive after this for sure!

Homeware

I love fairy lights in general but they are a total must have around this time of the year because they can really make anything look so much more festive! I also cannot wait to get our Christmas Tree so we can decorate that with all the lights too!

Another thing that I love about the colder weather is the various hot drinks and creative flavours. I’ve recently enjoyed making cinnamon hot chocolate and of course, had to have it in a festive mug! I got this one last Christmas and it’s the perfect size when you want to have a cosy evening.

Fashion

I mean I'm not really sure if pyjamas count as fashion but hey! I'm obsessed with Christmassy pyjamas and I've collected quite a few over the years, including these navy blue ones and these burgundy leggings that I got last Christmas from Primark. I have to say, if you're looking for pyjamas any time of the year, Primark has the best options and their Christmas themed ones are so cosy!

Beauty

Another must-have around this time of the year is hand cream and I’ve got a few that I like to use. Firstly is this Express Hydration from Nivea which is May every day one as it makes my hands feel so smooth. However, if I want more of a scented one then I also love Hand Food by Soap & Glory or one I got in a Ted Baker gift set. Definitely, something I always make sure I have handy for when my hands are feeling dry!

Experience

Last weekend we looked after my two younger cousins (who are 3 and almost 10 months), it was so lovely to spend so much time with them as usually we only see them for a couple of hours every few months. I haven't really had to properly look after a toddler or baby since my sister was that age but she is now 11 so that was quite some time ago, it was surprisingly tiring! The older of the two had bundles of energy and enjoyed using a toy tool set to cut parts of our bushes in the garden, he is also obsessed with Paw Patrol. On the other hand, she mostly enjoyed eating some vegetable crisp things and playing with random toys whilst taking breaks to lie down on her blanket and despite a few (expected) tears from being a little overtired, it was a great day! It's also mad to see how much she, in particular, changes each time we see them and I look forward to hopefully seeing them again over Christmas!

TV

Every November I always look forward to the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and have been really enjoying it! I love the campmates this year, the dynamic between them is great and it’s been interesting to see all the different trials, I can’t believe we’re already halfway through the series actually but I always look forward to the Celebrity Cyclone especially!

App

With the lead up to Christmas in full swing now, I’ve been planning gifts ideas for a while. I like to write down ideas in my phone so I have it whenever I’m out and about and recently I found the app ‘Manage Christmas’ which is so useful! It lets you put in an overall budget and also create separate budgets for the people you’re buying for. You can then add in your gift ideas and it will keep track of how much you’ve spent. To stay super organised you can also change the status of gifts when you’ve bought, wrapped and delivered the presents. You can download in on the App Store here and I’m sure it’s available on other stores if you don’t use Apple products!

Music

So, besides being obsessed with Christmas music at the moment, I also wanted to mention The Greatest Showman Re-imagined album. I loved the film and original soundtrack (which I listened to on repeat) and was excited to hear the different versions from various artists. I think my favourites on the album would be Rewrite The Stars - James Arthur & Anne Marie, The Greatest Show - Panic! At The Disco and A Million Dreams - Pink, but they’re all great and you can listen to them here!

I’m so excited to begin making more festive posts, I’ve got quite a few ideas and also am looking to read other people’s Blogsmas posts too! Let me know what you enjoyed over November and again, Happy December!

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...
