DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

BLOGMAS: SECRET SANTA

This year I participated in a Secret Santa for bloggers which was organised by the lovely Casey. Despite a few hiccups, it was a lovely thing to be a part of because I was able to connect with so many new bloggers and we all have a great support system now! You can check out Casey's post here if you'd like to see what everyone else got too as she kindly provided links to all of our blogs!

My gifts arrived quite a while ago, packaged in some really festive Christmas Pudding wrapping paper and I really had to resist the urge to open them, I always used to be one of those kids that would feel around and try to work out what a present was when I had to wait to open it, haha! My Secret Santa was Eloise who blogs over at The Longing Wanderer. She absolutely nailed my gifts and I couldn't be happier with them so I can't thank her enough!

Firstly I opened two bath bombs which smelt amazing even before opening them, I quickly recognised that they were from Lush which really excited me as I love their products. I received the 'Luxury Lush Pud' which is a Christmas classic and one I always like to use, as well as the new 'Cheery Christmas' bath bomb which is so pretty. I always enjoy colourful bath bombs and plus they smell so good too, so am definitely looking forward to using these!

Next, I opened a set of two travel notebooks which will be perfect for detailing all my adventures. It was so nice of Eloise to put so much thought into the gifts as she saw that I hope to travel! I also really like the design of the notebooks, I think the background of the map is really cool and the quotes are obviously perfect for travelling!

I also received a Shearer Candle in the scent 'Cinnamon Spice' which couldn't have been a better choice for me, it's the perfect scent for Christmas and I can't wait to burn it. I've not tried any of the Shearer Candles before but I really like the packaging and love the blue colour of this one. I'll definitely be checking out their other ones now, thanks to Eloise!

Lastly, I was given a set of Watercolour Brush Pens which was something I put on my wishlist so was so pleased to open it. I really enjoy being creative and want to experiment more with calligraphy so have had my eye on these for a while now. There is a great range of colours and I love working with watercolour so I'll definitely enjoy using them over Christmas!

Once again, a massive thank you to Eloise for these amazing gifts as I love them all and was definitely lucky to have you as my Secret Santa. I would really like to be a part of the Bloggers Secret Santa next year as I also really enjoyed buying gifts to send to another lovely blogger too, I'm not sure if she's opened them yet so I won't spoil anything but hopefully, she likes them!

HOW I USE NOTION - PRODUCTIVITY TOOL

At the beginning of 2021, I started using Notion and I wish I'd done sooner! It's a productivity/planning/organisation tool but can be used to store any information - from study notes to meal plans to finances and lists for pretty much anything you need. There are loads of tutorials on YouTube to help set up your Notion which I definitely used for inspiration, as well as tips and ideas on TikTok, These videos from Unjaded Jade , Twirling Pages , Om & The City helped me particularly! I've also added some quick videos of my Notion pages at the bottom of this post if you want to see what it looks like in use. This post isn't an ad but as you'll see pretty quickly, I'm a fan of Notion so far! App & Quick Notes Notion also has an app that is compatible with iOS 14 - this makes it even easier to access any daily to-do lists or whatever content you want to access quickly. I have a widget that takes me to my Notion homepage, it has links to any of my pages so I...

SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

I never used to be a fan of Sundays, I just saw it as the end of the weekend and a reminder that the same weekly routine would begin again. Sunday's are often the more chilled day of the weekend and this makes it perfect for a sort of 'reset', and this can mean something different for everyone. You can do this anytime but I think it's natural to be in the mindset of making changes at the start or end of a week/month/year, but do whatever feels good for you! There are so many ways to reset, most of which involve slowing down (both mentally and physically) and focusing on yourself. I know that dedicating a whole day to this is a complete luxury but many of these things can be done in a small window of spare time, or alongside something else.  A vital part of a beneficial reset experience is self-care. There are many different forms of self-care and only you know what is best for you but here are some of my suggestions!  Get outside and going on a walk Have a bath Listen...

LOCKDOWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Well, my 22nd birthday wasn't quite the Taylor Swift style celebration I had in mind but I still did a few things to celebrate!   My sister's birthday is a little over a week before mine so on the weekend between we set up an afternoon tea style lunch. I've seen a lot of people sharing their Afternoon Tea/Bridgerton inspired spreads recently and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. I'm very glad we decided to do before the weather turned as it rained all day on my actual birthday! We also played cards and a few board games which is always a great way to spend the evening in my opinion! If anyone is planning to set up their own afternoon tea then I know you can order hampers online which would make a great gift. Or like us, you can buy whatever you fancy! Here's a list of the things we had: scones jam clotted cream mini sausage rolls mini cheese & onion rolls strawberries raspberries chocolate cake coffee & walnut cake  biscuits pot of tea I was hopin...
