DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

BLOGMAS: NOVEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

So it's officially December and my favourite month of the year! This is my first year blogging around Christmas and I'm going to attempt to do some form of Blogmas, my intention is to do the '12 days of Blogmas' but we'll see if I stick to that. Anyway here is day 1! I found it hard to come up with a favourites list for November as I've mostly been sticking to what I know, but there are a few things I wanted to share!

Beauty - Aussie Conditioner has always a firm favourite for me but I hadn't used it for a while so grabbed a little travel size and well let's just say, I'm going to be needing a bigger bottle! I felt like my hair felt a little dry and this conditioner was the perfect pick me up, my is left feeling so smooth and smelling absolutely amazing! I used the 3 Minute Miracle one but there are a few varieties, depending on what you need.

Food -  I'm currently obsessed with Lindt Lindor balls, and to be honest you can't really blame me can you! They're just so rich and creamy which makes them the perfect little treat. We had a big box of them here last week which is the great thing about Christmas as chocolate often seems to be on offer! My favourite flavours are the original milk, orange and mint - unfortunately they also seem to be the popular ones in my family so it is always a race to get them first!

TV - I'm definitely little to the party with this one but I've been really enjoying New Girl recently and have just finished Season 6, it's the perfect show to just chill and watch because you become so invested in the main characters and the forming of their dysfunctional, but hilarious, family. I love Zooey Deschanel as an actress and the character 'Jessica Day' is quirky, passionate, awkward and relatable on many occasions which is why I think the show is so popular. I'm so glad that they're doing a Seventh season so we really get proper ending to each of the characters' storylines and I can't wait for it to air, hopefully next year!

Movie - This last weekend I went the cinema with my family to watch Paddington 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has the perfect combination of charm, wit, humour and emotion that makes a film for everyone to watch and enjoy. I have always loved going to the cinema, there is just something about seeing movies on the big screen that makes them even better and with a bag of popcorn, it is a brilliant way to spend a few hours!

Candles - I always love a good candle but in the colder months;going into the Christmas period, I definitely think I appreciate them even more! Recently I have been loving Yankee candles as they have some great festive scents and the little votive candles are so affordable yet they really fill the room. I of course need to try out more but at the moment I really like the 'Apple Cinnamon Cider', 'Cosy Up', Spiced Winter Berries' and 'Candy Cane Forest' scents but I fully intend to get some of the Christmassy ones!

Music - I'm one of those people who likes to listen to Christmas songs as soon as possible because they make me feel so festive and excited for Christmas, I like to think that the run up to the big day is just as important and the music definitely plays a big part in that! There are so many classic Christmas songs and I have been listening to them non stop since October basically, much to my Dad's dismay. Although for the first time ever I did manage to persuade him to let me put on the Heart Christmas radio station in the car the other day, normally he only agrees to listen in mid December so I'd say that is progress! Listen to this fab playlist on Spotify!

Other - Lastly, a favourite of this month is just generally getting into the Christmas spirit. The planning of gifts, decorations, shopping - I love it all! I got my first few bits last weekend and absolutely loved seeing all of the Christmas displays everywhere. I actually picked up a few decoration bits for my room and have made multiple lists of present ideas for family members and myself, along with a list of Christmas movies and snacks I love so I'd definitely say I'm ready for the season to begin! I'm hopefully going to pick up a Christmas tree this weekend which I have to say is probably exciting me more than the average person but hey!

I'd love to know what you have been doing to prepare for Christmas so far! Happy December!🎄

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

MARCH MONTHLY FAVOURITES

March is always a pretty busy time, it's known as the 'birthday month' in our family because between the 1st and 21st, 7 of us have celebrated our birthdays! This means that there is a lot of family time, a lot of presents and a lot of cake which is a pretty good mix - plus there are loads of things I've been loving this month so I'll get started! Weather Something I had to mention in this monthly favourites was the rather strange weather we had! We'd not had any decent snow since 2013 and then we had multiple snow days in March, so I think it's fair to say that Spring was delayed! I actually really like the snow, it's so amazing to look out at, especially when it is untouched! Although I did slip over on the ice, straight on my back...so that wasn't as great! Fashion  This month I have worn my denim jacket constantly, I don't know how I've lived without one for so long! Besides the random snow days, we've definitely had...

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -...
