DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

THE LIEBSTER AWARD

I was recently nominated for the Liebster Award by the fabulous Lisa, you can find her blog here at Total TV Addict. I seriously recommend you check it out if, like me, you love discovering new shows to watch!

For anyone who isn't sure what the Liebster Award is, basically it recognises new bloggers and helps others to 'discover new blogs!' I'm pretty new to the blogging community and it is so amazing to see the amount of love and support that goes around, this award is just one example of that!

So what do you do if you are nominated? Firstly don't forget to thank them! Then you answer the 11 questions that they asked you in their post and then you must create 11 new questions for your nominees! This is a great way to get to know a bit more about the person behind the blog so thank you again Lisa for nominating me - you can also follow her on twitter: @Dimaline27 .

Lisa's Questions:

1. Why Blogging?

I have always enjoyed writing, whether that is a wishlist of Christmas presents, my current best friends and holiday checklist, a short story that was most likely copied from whatever book I had been reading, or a quiz I had made up and forced my 'delighted' family to answer. Blogging is a way to share my thoughts and little bits of the things I enjoy in my life and I love it.

2. What expectations did you have when you first started?

I didn't really have certain expectations, the world of blogging varies so much and I wasn't going in to it naively, expecting to be earning big sums like the most popular bloggers are! I think it is just important to focus on creating content you love and would enjoy reading, people can tell if it is genuine and eventually that will be recognised and appreciated!

3. What have you enjoyed the most and least since you started?

I love are the blogger chats on Twitter, I always look forward to an evening where i can connect with fellow bloggers and answer some questions, it is great fun and as a newcomer it really made me feel welcome in the community. If I had to pick out something that I have enjoyed the least, I'd say the time it takes to build and grow your blog, to begin with you can spend ages on a post but it doesn't get the recognition because you don't have a following. However it's definitely exciting to see your stats improve!

4. What is the 1 thing you want everyone to know about you?

Oh god, I'm never good at these sort of questions! Hm, since it's December maybe the fact that Christmas is my favourite time of the year. That's fairly normal, right? However I'd say I have an obsession with all things Christmas, I have lists written for every aspect by September and whack on the festive tunes at the same time. If anyone needs a list of Christmas movies, snacks, songs or blog ideas then hit me up! Basically once Summer is over, my mind turns solely to Christmas so I think that is one thing you'd definitely have to get used to!

5. What's the best place you've visited - home and abroad?

Home: Devon because I used to go on holiday there for a weekend or maybe a week fairly often as a child so have a lot of fond memories there. The hotel where we stayed in Exmouth had amazing gardens and was just a short walk away from the beach so was great!

Abroad: Florida, purely because as a 6 year old there is nothing better than a holiday to Disney World is there really? Although I was pretty young, I do remember it really well and loved every second so that is definitely up there with the best!
Or Paris as I fell in love with the city, however I went there on a school trip so only got to spend a few days there and would love to visit again!

6. What are your plans for Christmas Day?

Get up at about 7, open presents and then realise we've finished in about 10 minutes because it is all just too exciting, eat, chat, spend some time properly using our gifts, eat Christmas dinner, crash out on the sofa & watch some Christmassy tv, eat some more, maybe play a board game whilst eating more and then relax...yep you guessed it whilst probably eating again!

7. Do you have any personal and blogging goals for 2018?

To try and set a schedule and hopefully get into a routine of posting on particular days of the week! In general I'd like to get more organised really and to start creating more art again as I have stopped after finishing my A Levels.

8. What's your favourite thing to do?

Wow, this is so hard! Just making new memories and experiencing as much as I possibly can!

9. Who are your favourite people in this world?

Another hard one, of course the obvious answers are your family, significant other and friends. However on a broader scale I think people that have the perfect balance of making you laugh till your sides hurt but can also be there for you no matter the time or day are the best kind of people!

10. If money was no object, what would you do?

I would travel the world, 100%. My goal is to set foot on every continent so that is definitely what I would do first!

11. How will you be bringing in the New Year?

Absolutely no idea as I don't have any plans right now, I'd love to go to London to watch the fireworks though!

...

My Questions:

1. What is something you have achieved in 2017?
2. Are you a tea, coffee, hot chocolate drinker? Or do you not like hot drinks at all?
3. If you could go back to being a certain age, what would it be and why?
4. What are your top 3 Christmas songs?
5. How do you feel about Marmite?
6. If you were given a plane ticket to anywhere, where would you go?
7. What are your top 3 Christmas movies?
8. Have you ever felt like giving up blogging?
9. What is one thing that excites you about the new year?
10. What is your must have Christmas food or snack?
11. What is one thing you are grateful for?

Thank you for reading, I hope you learnt something new about me! I nominate:

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones!  Converse - Another one that is on my l

MARCH MONTHLY FAVOURITES

March is always a pretty busy time, it's known as the 'birthday month' in our family because between the 1st and 21st, 7 of us have celebrated our birthdays! This means that there is a lot of family time, a lot of presents and a lot of cake which is a pretty good mix - plus there are loads of things I've been loving this month so I'll get started! Weather Something I had to mention in this monthly favourites was the rather strange weather we had! We'd not had any decent snow since 2013 and then we had multiple snow days in March, so I think it's fair to say that Spring was delayed! I actually really like the snow, it's so amazing to look out at, especially when it is untouched! Although I did slip over on the ice, straight on my back...so that wasn't as great! Fashion  This month I have worn my denim jacket constantly, I don't know how I've lived without one for so long! Besides the random snow days, we've definitely had

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -
