DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

30 SHOWS TO WATCH ON NETFLIX

As an avid user of Netflix, I am more than aware of the time spent trying to find something rather than actually watching anything. I've gone through many different series on there so I thought I'd share some here! I know there is quite a few I've missed off that people would put at the top of their list and I need to get round to watching them for sure!

Breaking Bad
I'm sure most people will have watched this already but if not, now is the time. I put it off for way too long but it lived up to my expectations.
Prison Break
This series is tense and will make you gasp at how Michael Schofield's brain works, I'm also really glad that a Season 6 has been confirmed.
Pretty Little Liars
One of my favourite series of all time, the perfect combination of high school drama and a thrilling mystery.
Gossip Girl
Another classic teen drama that follows Manhatten's elite students and their various scandals through an anonymous gossip site.
Riverdale
Based on the Archie Comics, if you like things like PLL then I'd definitely give this a watch, they're currently releasing series 3.
Luther
Idris Elba plays the impulsive detective in this British drama, the most recent season isn't on Netflix yet but you can find it on BBC iPlayer.
Black Mirror
Charlie Brooker will make you question everything about the world and what the future could be. Also, the interactive special 'Bandersnatch' is definitely one to watch!
Suits
An American legal drama series that follows one of Manhatten's top law firms and Mike Ross whose photographic memory lands him a position as an associate lawyer, despite being a college dropout.
Stranger Things
This 80s Science Fiction series is thrilling and follows a group of school friends and the revelation of an alternate dimension. Season 3 comes out on July 4th.
Friends
This probably doesn't need an introduction and most people will have watched it, but it's nice to visit an old favourite and watch it from beginning to end.
Grimm
This Police Procedural series is combined with the added threat of protecting the city of Portland from various fantasy creatures, inspired by The Brother's Grimm fairytales.
13 Reasons Why
This somewhat controversial series highlights the various consequences of high school gossip, bullying and assault. It can be commended for prompting discussion about sensitive subjects but many have criticised its graphic nature.
The Haunting of Hill House
A relatively new supernatural horror series that follows a broken family and how the terrifying events that occurred in their childhood home have stayed with them.
Gilmore Girls
I've finally got round to watching this classic American drama series which follows the lives of Single Mother Lorelai and Daughter Rory.
Sherlock
Based on the infamous series from Arthur Conan Doyle. It brings a contemporary feel, whilst still capturing the highly intelligent, mastermind detective that Sherlock should be.
Unforgotten
Another British crime drama but this one focuses on various cold cases when new evidence comes to light.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Based on Lemony Snicket's best-selling book series, this follows the lives of the orphaned Baudelaire children and the investigation into the mysterious deaths of their parents.
River
This series follows the troubles of a detective who is haunted by the murder victims he investigates, causing him to hallucinate as he tries to uncover their secrets.
Queer Eye
This reality series follows the 'Fab Five', each who give an individual some advice and guidance based on their expertise in fashion, personal grooming, interior design, food and culture.
YOU
This psychological thriller series is the ultimate cross between PLL and Gossip Girl. It follows Joe Goldberg and his sinister obsession of aspiring writer, Beck.
Sex Education
A new British comedy-drama that highlights various taboo topics surrounding love, sex and relationships within high school. This exceeded my expectations.
Atypical
This coming of age comedy focuses on Sam, an autistic teenager and his journey to becoming more independent and ready for romance
Project Runway
An American reality series in which aspiring fashion designers compete in various challenges to create high fashion looks, with the hopes of becoming the next success in the industry.
The Great British Bake Off
A group of amateur bakers must compete in a variety of challenges to show off their baking skills in order to impress the judges.
Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father
A hilarious travel documentary that follows the interesting dynamic of Jack Whitehall and his father, whilst they venture to new places around the world.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
An Australian drama series, set in the 1920s that follows a glamorous detective as she tries to solve a number of murder investigations.
The Great Interior Design Challenge
Various amateur interior designs must compete to transform similar rooms over 3 days with the hopes of impressing the judges and meeting their clients' brief.
The End of the F***ing World
This dark comedy series follows the interesting relationship between rebellious teenager Alyssa who wants to escape her home life and James, who believes he is a serial killer as they begin a road trip together.
Bad Education
A Britsh sitcom that follows the comedic events at fictional school Abbey Grove, when they hire Alfie Wickers, quite possibly the worst educator ever.
Once Upon A Time
An American fantasy drama series in which the real world collides with well-known fairy tales in the fictional town of Storybrooke.

There are actually a lot more I know I need to get round to watching - including Making A Murderer, Orange is the New Black, Peaky Blinders and The Good Place. Let me know if you decide to watch any of the ones I mentioned above and also what others I've missed out!

  1. Thanks for the list! I will refer to it tonight when it comes time to make that life making decision of what we are going to watch tonight. We recently finished The Patriot and I LOVED it. Spy drama. We've also been watching a lot of BBC and Masterpiece Theater. We are all over the place because it seems like we have watched EVERY THING! I'm sure I'm not alone. :)

BLOGMAS: CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is approaching so today I thought I'd share my gift guide to hopefully give you inspiration for the people you are buying for this year. I am going to do a combination of gifts for her, gifts for him and then gifts for anyone!  Knitted Jumper - Perfect for this time of the year and something most people would appreciate. Head over to Asos for a huge selection!  Jacket - Another one that is useful for the colder weather, personally I'd like a denim jacket this Christmas but you could also go for a leather, smarter or bomber jacket. Have a look on Topshop for some inspiration!        Image via: Topshop  Shirt - This is definitely something I know my Dad would appreciate and would be a great present if you tend to dress smarter on Christmas day! There are some great choices at John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Slippers - Another ideal gift for this time of the year and so cosy,  Next  have some great ones! ...

MARCH MONTHLY FAVOURITES

March is always a pretty busy time, it's known as the 'birthday month' in our family because between the 1st and 21st, 7 of us have celebrated our birthdays! This means that there is a lot of family time, a lot of presents and a lot of cake which is a pretty good mix - plus there are loads of things I've been loving this month so I'll get started! Weather Something I had to mention in this monthly favourites was the rather strange weather we had! We'd not had any decent snow since 2013 and then we had multiple snow days in March, so I think it's fair to say that Spring was delayed! I actually really like the snow, it's so amazing to look out at, especially when it is untouched! Although I did slip over on the ice, straight on my back...so that wasn't as great! Fashion  This month I have worn my denim jacket constantly, I don't know how I've lived without one for so long! Besides the random snow days, we've definitely had...

1 YEAR OF BLOGGING!

I did it, a whole year of blogging! I'm so glad that I stuck at it because I enjoy it so much and can't believe how much progress I've made with it all. Not only that, but I've connected to so many people all around the world which is just amazing, I can't wait to see what the next year working on my blog brings! Anyway, here is a sum up of my blogging journey so far. What I've achieved - Just over 50 posts which is equal to roughly 1 per week, and I'm definitely pleased with that! I started off slow and could have probably done a lot more but at least I've got something to work towards! - Hit 1.5k+ followers on my blog Twitter account and also had 30.5k impressions in my best month - Reached 200+ followers on my blog Instagram account after starting to properly use it in May - Had 2562 viewers on Pinterest in one day and an average of around 1000 - Over 9000 pageviews, the fact that I'm on the way to 10,000 blows my mind! -...
