DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff...

10 CHILDHOOD SNACKS I'D BRING BACK

I was talking with my family recently about snacks that have been discontinued in the U.K and have come up with a list of things I would love to see back on our shelves! Admittedly most of these are chocolate but that's only because there were so many to choose from! 1) Mingles - These are at the top of my list because these were my absolute favourite to have at Christmas time. Bendick's still do some minty alternatives but I'm sorry, why were these ever taken away?!  2) Calippo Shots - As a child this would always be my choice when the sun decided to show itself. Everyone I knew would also see how quickly they could eat them which almost always ended in brain freeze! I was surprised to see they had been discontinued though.  3) Mars Delight - I'm pretty sure these were never around long anyway but I would still love to have another. It was just a much lighter and crispier version than an actual Mars Bar, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.  ...

WHAT'S IN MY BAG?

Since I have always enjoyed watching the 'What's in my bag' videos on YouTube, I thought why not do it myself on here! I don't necessarily always carry around a bag with me but these are the items I would say are my essentials! 1) Phone - So obviously I always have my phone with me, I currently have the iPhone 6 with a white marble case. Had to use the phone to take the image but you can see my case which I had to carefully pull off without scratching the actual phone to pieces (why do they do that?) 2) Purse/Wallet - Another important item is of course your money and I have mine in this handy little mint green wallet that has an extra big compartment for your phone as well. Plus it was not expensive at all so that is also a bonus! 3) Lip balm - There is nothing I hate more than feeling like you have dry lips and not having any lip balm, so I never leave the house without it nowadays. There are hundreds of different brands but Vaseline is always a winner, the ...

EMBARRASSING STORIES FROM MY CHILDHOOD

^ Here is a photo me being a typical cheeky toddler! I always remember reading your typical tween magazines and flicking straight to the 'cringes' section, something about the ridiculous confessions always made me laugh and I thought why not take some inspiration! I'm going to share a few of my own embarrassing stories from my childhood... 1) The first time I saw candyfloss I thought it was a tissue and went to wipe my nose on it - thankfully my mum stopped me! 2) During my first year of school an older kid told me to lick a some poison ivy and I was too scared to stand up to them and did it. But the worst part is I then shut myself in the toilet and prepared myself for the poison to set in...clearly it didn't have quite the expected effect and I finally accepted that maybe I was overreacting! 3) This one time at Christmas I had finished my chocolate and was jealous that my younger sister still had some left. So I shut her in our parents room and bit her ea...

A LONG AWAITED TRIP TO BRIGHTON

After seeing the popularity of Brighton grow massively I kept talking about how much I wanted to visit. I have seen so many videos and photos that it was like I already knew my way around! Finally I organised my train tickets and my sister and I headed off on a 3 hour train journey. Since I knew there were a lot of places I wanted to visit we made sure we grabbed a quick lunch to fuel us for the endless walking to come. We then walked down to the West Pier and ate on the beach with the bandstand and i360 in sight. We then decided to bite the bullet and began walking the mile journey along the beach to Brighton Pier itself and I have to say it didn't disappoint. It was pretty packed with and had a huge range of souvenirs, food and attractions - I of course ensured I took various photos of all angles because if you don't post on social media were you really there? (I hope you got my sarcasm there!) Anyway I proceeded to stroll around, clutching my belongings because even though...

JULY MONTHLY FAVOURITES

Firstly, how are we already in August?! This year seems to have gone so fast and all the months have sort of blurred into one, however I always enjoy reading monthly favourites so here are some of mine for August! Stationery : Okay, I admit it. I'm a sucker for stationery. I genuinely owe a huge chunk of my revision to Stabilo Boss highlighters. All those endless mind maps were completed using these and somehow it actually helped me to remember a lot of the information. I also enjoy trying to feel and appear organised  (even when I'm not) so these highlighters are something I often grab for. I couldn't not put it in my favourites really...though they may be quietly booted off this list when I receive my results later this month! Pick up a pack of 8 from Amazon using the link at the bottom of this page! Movie : Troian Bellasario aka (Spencer Hastings) has a new movie out and after loving her in PLL I was intrigued. She is a great actress and this movie conveys a poignant ...

BRISTOL ZOO

I recently visited Bristol Zoo and thought I'd post a few shots I managed to capture whilst I was there! Normally when I go to the zoo the lions always seem to be out of sight somewhere but we were really lucky as they came right up to the glass - my first shot shows just how close we were! Now the flamingos always make me feel pretty nostalgic, as a 5 year old little girl and lover of pink, these birds were fascinating to me. I had a number of flamingo toys so whenever I see them I always think back to how much I loved them! The butterfly photo was captured in the walk through butterfly garden, if you haven't been to Bristol Zoo it is essentially a small jungle for butterflies and the occasional bird. It's getting a lot less common to see butterflies in the wild nowadays so to be amongst them flying around was really interesting and there were so many different species. We were really lucky with the weather and it was a beautiful sunny day, you know the kind where...

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FINISH SCHOOL?

A little reminder that our year left for the School! So I'm assuming that either you're finishing school or that you will be in the next couple of years and like me, have no idea what you want to with your life! You've got your teachers asking you, parents, grandparents and you just have no clue! I know that can be a huge worry and can leave you confused about what path to take, I was exactly the same and sometimes you don't want to admit that you have no idea where your life is heading! Over the last couple of years during my time in Sixth Form however, I researched into the different paths you can take - some of which are obvious and some may be new to you! First off I recommend that you do a couple of tests that are designed to help narrow down which careers you are most suited to. There are many available, such as the website - https://www.prospects.ac.uk/planner  If you are currently in school, sixth form or college then your institution may have signed up t...
